‘Hope For Haiti Now’ lineup confirmed

MTV has confirmed the lineup for the ‘Hope For Haiti Now’ earthquake benefit telethon.

The event, which is hosted by George Clooney and Wyclef Jean, will be staged in New York City, Los Angeles and London.

Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Jean, Shakira and Sting will perform in New York.

Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder and Taylor Swift will play in LA, as well as a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow.

Meanwhile, Coldplay’s set and a group performance by Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z and Rihanna will take place in London.

All musical performances will be available to purchase on iTunes from January 23, with proceeds donated to the Haiti earthquake relief funds.

The two-hour telethon will air on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on January 22, 2010 at 8pm ET/PT and 7pm CT.

In the UK, ‘Help For Haiti Now’ will air on MTV from 1am on January 23. It will also be broadcast on further digital channels and online.
